Another good one, which is a quick read.

This one, to me, had a bit more stress, and a few less "laugh out loud" scenes than the last book. but all Mary Kay Andrews books are an enjoyable trip to the South.

Generally love her books but this one is just not worth reading unless it gets better....I have read 180 pages in large print and just truly nothing there to interest me and want me to finish the book.

Mary Kay Andrews' âSave the Dateâ is a breezy rom-com that manages to avoid most of the worst clichés in presenting its tale of the spunky florist-shop owner trying to keep her head above water while beset by a neglectful landlord, a series of Bridezillas and their equally formidable mothers, and an big-city competition trying to muscle her out of the business.

There is, of course, a hunky hero, who's a really nice guy even if he is a bit tone-deaf to what the heroine needs (beyond the obligatory bedroom romp). And Andrews doubles down on the cute-dog factor, giving each of her protagonists one. This time, there's actually a plot-related reason for all floppy-eared characters.

Andrews has, fortunately, abandoned the âhe-done-me-wrong-and-we're-going-to-get-revengeâ motif used in many of her earlier books, while keeping her quirky heroine sassy and funny. Fans of Andrews' breezy romances will find nothing lacking in this one.

Mary Kay is one of my go-to authors for fast fun reads and this one does not disappoint. Perhaps doesn't have quite as many funny parts as some of her other books but the characters are sweet, the setting quaint and as always there is a mutt or two that bring some liveliness.

If you like MKA as I do, I think you will find this book entertaining. Oh and we should all have a Jack Finnerty in our lives.

Enjoyable, as are all of MKA books. Light reading, maybe but still fun.
