A city as elegant and sensuoous as a womans love, where the Old South and the high seas meet: where a young mans dreams and a mature womans desires entwine in a love that threatens everything a great family has built.

This is a wonderful story of a young man's dream to live in Savannah in the early 1800's. Some historical fiction but nicely done and a very pleasant read.

Book 1 of the Savannah Quartet.
A great series to read if you love history. These are real people that the author has fictionalized thoughts and feelings. Great detail into all aspects of Southern living and customs.
