This book was excellent... and I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series. Jo Dereske is an excellent writer and she has created a great heroine in Ruby Crane. The cabin in the woods, her daughter who is healing from injuries, Ruby's gutsy determination... all have captured my interest. She isnt one of these wilting female leads who must rely on a strong policeman/love interest all adds to her appeal. She can stand on her own two strong feet!!!
