Charles Baxter is a great author. His words are so beautiful, I am just struck by his talent. I loved this whole book, especially the parts that I totally understood. A few things happened toward the end that I couldn't connect to anything, I don't know if it was that I stayed up too late reading and was not all there mentally or what, but I still have a few puzzles to work out. The characters are unique, interesting, well-defined. The story is interesting. You'll love this book.

Touching story. Also by Charles Baxter, The Feast of Love, was a magnificent read.
