I bought my copy when I was in England visiting the area. It really helped pull everything together. He is very similar to James Michener in that he starts in the very early prehistory and focuses on several families through the generations. I have read several of his other books and have the rest on my TBR list. You cannot go wrong with his books!

I loved this book, and I'm not a history buff. I've kept it for years because I want to read it again, but w/2 young ones, it'll be awhile before I can tackle 1,000+ page novels.
Historical fiction at its best
This is a novel set in England near the Stonehenge monuments. It is intriguing and may be one of the most memorable books you have read in a long while. It is far from a short book, but coming into the summer is the perfect time to set aside time for reading. Enjoy!
