A wonderful classic from one of romance's treatest storytellers. A story of second chances in life and the healing power of love. Linda Howard is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly, I hated this book. The husband was an arrogant jerk who didn't deserve the heroine and she was a spineless wimp.
Sarah's Child is one of my all time favorites. I feel it takes a special some one to fully understand this Read. I L@@k at this powerful Read as a walking talking movie point blank. A Love story that will forever go down in history as being thought provoking, farthermore I feel a vast number of folk will forever have their God-given opinion, therefore have an ongoing discussions ,debates, like & dislike the book. I see Sarah's Child as being an ageless classic with some refreshing writing. It's l@@king inside or at something we dont like seeing of human nature that fleshed out ,whether Its a tortured soul that simply says I'AM HUMAN filled with very many faults I hurt, am affected by circumstances in my life how do I deal with it ,why is this happening to me Im scared as well. I must say I extremely enjoy how Love play in this Read. Linda Howard gives us a picturesque window or an lQQking glass of sorts too vividly see the story unfold. In order to Read this book U must Read it with an OPEN MIND. This book is not political correct, its in UR face some of lifes realities, either U like it or U dont. I chose to make it apart of my cherished collectibles..!.O
I wholeheartedly agree with mamadoodle's review. The H does not deserve the h or their child. I couldn't decide whether I wanted to cry for the h, or send her to therapist! Maybe both...
I have read this book many years ago and highly recommend it to all. I have re-read this book several times and I am not generally a re-reader.
Story of Rome who cannot get over the death of his wife and 2 small sons. His wife's best friend, Sarah has kept the fact to herself that she has always loved Rome and would have never betrayed her friend so she suffered in silence while her friend was alive. Circumstances bring the couple together and they marry for convenience with the stipulation that there will be no children. Sarah agrees but finds herself pregant and while Rome treats her badly during the pregnancy and I could give him a swift kick, I can in a very small way understand.
The ending is so gut wrenching. All I can say it what a wonderful read.
