Altho the title/name of heroine is kind of over the top, the story is
well written with strong charcters, tension just right. The story centers around the heroine's search for her birth father, her only clues being a few love letters,a magnificent sapphire and a vague story. Fun secondary characters and good follow thru.
so close to being a good book, too many plot diversions
A beautiful romantic tale with adventure and wild romance. Take place in Enland and American.
excellent read could not put it down
Excellent book! The heroine is very spunky and independant and brings a cocky Blake Thixton to his knees.
It is a very good book. Sapphire is taken to London for her father to give her his last name, but she discovers that her father died. But she is still bound and determined to get the name that she thought she was entitled to. I enjoyed it very much.
Standard RR fare: lots of huffing, foot-stamping outrage from the heroine and aggressive, overpowering kisses/behavior from the hero. The positive difference in this book is the heroine's actions to take control of her life.
I really enjoyed this book. Sapphire is a strong character and the story flows well.

Not even love could stop her... Despite her privileged life in the sulty paradise of Martinique, the beautiful and daring Sapphire will never be happy until she claims the honor and legitimacy that has ben denied her.
Sapphire Fabergine, beautiful, rich, living on the isle of Martinque, has just been informed by the only father she has known Maurice Fabergine, that he is not her real father, and that her now deceased mother was a prostitute. Her real father the Earl of Wessex lives in London, and he and her mother were married, the marriage was not recognized as her mother was a nobody.
Maurice wants her to travel to London to find her father as requested by her now dead mother. Sapphire journeys to London with her Aunt, Lucia, and adopted sister Angelique. Sapphire finds out her natural father is deceased and encounters the arrogant, impatient, attractive, american Blake Thixton who is the new heir. Sapphire explains to Blake about her claim as the daughter of the Earl of Wessex. Blake does not believe her story, there is no proof. Conflict, and anger between Blake and Sapphire leads to mutual desire. Blake has not been loved by anyone, and Sapphire has been surrounded by love, and she is sensitive to this flaw in his character.
Blake kidnaps Sapphire and takes her to the states, asking her to be his mistress or maid, she refuses, and runs away.
