"San Diego" is a compilation of four stories by two different authors. The same characters are in all four of the stories, but each story focuses on a different couple-to-be within that particular story, and they all take place in lovely San Diego.

"Love Is Patient" (2003) by Cathy Marie Hake, is the story of pet-store owner Vanessa Zobel, who, besides running Whiskers, Wings, & Wags, trains guide dogs for the blind. It is the story of the handsome Nathan who is still mourning the loss of his wife Evie, who succumbed to cancer five years previously, and his young son, Jeff. After meeting in the pet-store, Vanessa soon begins spending time with Nathan and Jeff, helping them train their wayward dog, but what is really going on with Vanessa's heart?

"Love Is Kind" (2003) by Joyce Livingston, finds Valene Zobel, Vanessa's identical twin sister, babysitting young Jeff when her Black Labrador, Hero, runs in front of a pickup truck driven by Navy pilot, Jordan Young. Vanessa and Jordan work together to try and nurse Hero back to health, but Jordan's wealthy mother questions Vanessa's true intentions with Jordan.

"Love Worth Finding"(2005) by Cathy Marie Hake, is about Della who operates the bridal boutique next door to Whiskers, Wings, & Wags. Former Navy SEAL, Brandon Stevens finds himself meeting Della when he tries to help his sister locate a pair of white gloves at the boutique. Brandon is attracted to Della, but Della does not believe in God, and this is a problem for Brandon.

And in "Love worth Keeping"(2005) by Joyce Livingston, we find Katie Garrett planning a Christmas Day wedding. Her parents, Detective Mike Garrett and his wife, Tessa, who have been separated for eight years, must do their best to put aside differences and come together for the sake of making their daughter's special day a beautiful and memorable occasion. Can they successfully put their bitterness aside for Katie?

"San Diego" is a great book and well worth reading. At 460 pages with small print, it is a long book, but the stories will keep you reading to learn the outcome. From young to the more mature, all ages should enjoy the stories since the major characters run the gamut in age. God-centered, upbeat and entertaining, I definitely give "San Diego"my high recommendation.
