Every Christian must read this book. The privileged life we have in this county is astounding compared to some places. There are more persecuted Christians in the world today than every before.

Awesome book. One of the most profound books about what is happening in China and other countries to the persecuted church. Life transforming.

Fans of Randy Alcorn will applaud this soul-stirring story of two college friends who reconnect after twenty years. One is living life apart from God in comfortable corporate America while the other is living for Christ under intense persecution in China. This stunning page-turner will convict the hearts of readers to live in the light of eternity.

Highly recommend to anyone who loves to read. This book gave me a great burden for the persecuted church - something I knew very little about. This story made it personal and convicted me for having an apathetic attitude towards those that are truly persecuted for their faith. Agree with other readers - your life will be changed when you read this book!

I received this book as a Christmas gift and it is on my keeper shelf. Much of what is depicted in this book is happening today to our brothers and sister in China and other parts of the world. American Christians have no idea what it means to suffer for Christ. However I believe the time is coming when we will know.

This is an incredible story about two different men who were once roommates in college. Years later, their lives are nothing like the other thought it would be. They find one another. The American learns about what life in China for his friend is like. Although he believes China is progressing, all he learns are things that shock him and don't make sense. This is a book about the persecution that occurs throughout China today. It was extremely powerful and informational. It was very well researched and made me think of many of the stories I've read about the persecuted church in China. There was so much of God's Word binding this whole book together!

I became very wrapped up in Safely Home. Randy Alcorn helped me look inside myself and how I take my Christianity for granted. We are so blessed to be able to worship freely. Although its a fiction, I will continue to pray for the persecuted around the world.

This book opened up my eyes to what the Chinese Christian martyrs go through. We take so much for granted in this country. From the way things are going, we will be just like China one day with regards to freedom of religion. This book is a must-read.

American business executive Ben Fielding has no idea what his brilliant old college roommate is facing in China. But when they're reunited in China after twenty years, the men are shocked at what they discover about each other.

Thrown together in an hour of encroaching darkness, watched by unseen eyes, both must make choices that will determine not only the destinies of two men, but two families, two nations....and two worlds.

This book is about the persecution of Christians in China.

This book really opened my mind about how christians are treated in China. After reading it, I passed on my copy to other people to read & got another copy to give away. Very good book!

Excellent story of a young American business man whose compromised faith is rekindled when he finds himself in China and sees first hand what it means to live a life dedicated to God, no matter what it costs. A great challenge to the Christian today in America who has it so easy and takes our freedom of worship for granted. Also a great reminder that God is continuing to build His church all around the world, even when we may not be aware of it. Alcorn is more than a terrific story teller; his books challenge the reader to a more committed level of Christian living.

The story of 2 men one American the other from China. They met while in college in America. After college the Chinese man returns home a believer in Christ. The 2 loose touch for 20 years then are reunited in China. The men are shocked at what they discover about each other.
This fiction story is about the Christian persecution taking place in China. It has opened my eyes to the persecuted church around the world, and has caused me to desire to live my life thankful for the freedoms I have and be more bold in sharing the gospel to others.
