Wow! This book was a groundshaker for me. God used it to open my eyes and gave me the courage to make some changes in how I relate to my husband. Some of the changes I was hoping for in my husband were almost immediate once I made some changes in my attitude and actions towards him. I was even able to use some of Gary Thomas's ideas with my kids to help them improve their relationships with each other. I honestly believe if every wife read this book with a spirit of willingness and an open heart, and you have the courage, faith, and perseverance to make some changes in yourself, God can use it to improve your marriage.

Encouraging, challenging, convicting, and hopeful. I highly recommend it and plan to read it with my women's group.

A book for wives from a husbands point of view, Sacred Marriage, by Gary Thomas. I enjoyed reading this book, though I balked a bit at the initial concept of "shaping" your husband. Trying to change others is a risky prospect...the only thing we have any control over is our own responses, our own character. Turns out, Mr. Thomas agrees and states this repeated throughout the book.
Overall, a easy, entertaining read on being a Godly wife. Nothing groundshaking for me, but I did enjoy the many practical examples. 4 stars.
