I'm making soda bread today.

Yummm, soda bread.....looking for a pub to have an Irish meal at this weekend. But, no, not going to the small fest to see the river dyed. Will watch that on tv. -- my bad knee won't allow me to walk from the parking lots to the riverside park where the fest is held. 

This morning me and my mom was downtown for the Chicago dyeing river green (emerald) and was on the Wendell boat.  After the river is dye green and then take the 45 minutes boat ride around the river.  It was nice day in the 40's sunny. 

Thanks for sharing the picture, Towana. My sister who lives there left to spend the weekend at their lakehouse in Michigan-- it's her bday weekend and they wanted to avoid the wild crowds.

It is raining here today, but our local parade was last week and it was a lovely day.

Happy St Patrick's Day to all. There are five Patricks and four family members with Patrick as a middle name in my family tree.

Hope everyone had a Happy St. Patrick's Day. My son was born on St. Patrick's Day. We celebrated with some family passing through town on their way to Miami at a local restaurant chain called Flanigan's. Flanigan's does St. Patrick's Day in a BIG way! Lots of decorations, music, and food and drink specials.
