Written in 1905, it was THAT crisis, not the later ones.

"RUSSIA AND ITS CRISIS

"Paul Miliukov's _Russia and Its Crisis_ was one of the most extraordinary and prescient books ever to have emerged from pre-revolutionary Russia. Based upon a series of lectures presented at the University of Chicago and Boston's Lowell Institute in 1903 and 1904, _Russia and Its Crisis_ laid out the case for the development of a politically _liberal_ Russia at precisely the moment that the cold autocratic order was beginning to crumble."

My copy (posted 09/29/07) is a very firm PAPERBACK book!
