This is a great way to read all three volumes in one thick book with a few extras as well. I did notice some differences from the anime compared to the manga, but nothing that would confuse you or take away from the true essence of the book. The characters are likeable (mine being Kenshin of course) and everything is easy to follow. No confusing plots or everything jumping around. Kenshin's personality is humorous at times and Kamiya Kaoru can be a pleasing character, but annoying and in my opinion, a little mean to Kenshin (especially after what he does for her) and Yahiko is the cutest most ambitious person I know in this series. Sanosuke annoyed me at first, but I grew to like him later on. All in all, this is a great way to get into the first 3 volumes and start a new adventure with Kenshin.
