This is an informative, witty, and even moving look inside prison life as lived by Avi Steinberg, a lapsed Orthodox Jew who takes a job working in a Massachusetts prison. Avi relates his experiences with the inmates and staff in a balanced fashion, and even goes as far as making friends with those he's tasked with supervising and following up on inmates' lives after they have been released. I really enjoyed reading this.
