This was a fast read, I'm an adult and I can't wait for the next one.
My 14 y/o loves this series. I was able to read it before her, given she's in the middle of another book. I've read the series along with her and enjoy it a lot. The series is based on a teenage goth girl who has wanted to be a vampire all her life. In the first one, she actually meets & dates one. Through the series they have overcome various obstacles, mostly villians (although not too graphic for the younger readers).
I must say that the author makes this a fun, interesting, easy read for any age. I've even recommended it to my neighbor's 10 year old son. Although he may not like the kissing and holding hands, which is all they have done. (She's 16 or so in this book, so it's maintaining good morals, although not likely realistic.) Make sure you read them in sequence, as the author doesn't elaborate on references to prior books.
