Good addition to the China Bayles series. After reading the 3rd and (this) 4th books in 2 days, I've requested books 5-10 from another PBS member. The author seems to have hit her stride, and I'm hooked. Lucky for me there are about 15 books out so far!
The mystery plot in this book was excellent, just complex enough to be interesting and yet simple enough (once explained at the end) to make sense and leave no annoying loose ends. The characters, relationships, and the community continue to develop from book to book. The continuing characters are the kind of folks I'd like for neighbors and friends.

China Bayles Mystery #4. Excellent as usual. The writing just keeps getting better with each succesive book in the series.

Amateur sleuth China Bayles is a former lawyer who now runs an herb shop and keeps getting involved in solving local murders. In this one, China's accountant is found murdered and there's no shortage of suspects.
I LOVE this series. I have read them out of order, but have enjoyed each one I have read. I can't wait to finish them all. A quick read but very enjoyable.
I have been enjoying this series. A fast, easy read.

A China Bayles Mystery. China's accountant is killed and with an abusive husband and plenty of former clients there is no shortage of suspects. So it is up to China to find out who profits the most from the murder.

Another good story in this series with good food, references to herbs like rosemary,and a twisty tale right to the ending.
