Bertrice Small at her finest. I love all of her books but have recently moved and need more space so I am pairing down my collection with my offerings here. This books as all her books keeps the reader coming back for more!
I loved this book as I've loved all of Bertrice Small's books. But I have two copies and not much space on the shelf.
Twice married before she was 13, Rosamund Bolton, mistress of Friarsgate Manor, vows that the next time she weds she will have a say in the matter. Upon the death of her second husband, she becomes a ward of King Henry VII. She is escorted to court by Sir Owein Meredith, who soon escorts her back home, having become her third husband.
Even though the king has arranged the match, it meets with Rosamund's approval, but after several years of wedded bliss and three daughters, a tragic accident takes Owein from her. Called back to court, Rosamund must serve the new queen, Katherine of Aragon, while trying to fend off the amorous advances of Katherine's second husband, lusty King Henry VIII.
New York Times best-selling author Small's latest sexy historical has all the ingredients her fans love: a young, courageous heroine who finds romance in the arms of several men, a colorfully detailed historical setting, and sexy love scenes that leave nothing to the reader's imagination.

Rosamund Bolton is taken from her devious uncle to the court of Elizabeth of York, into the confidence of Katherine of Aragon & Henry VIII.
Lots of political intrigue.
Lots of political intrigue.
Rosamund Bolton is the heiress to the manor of Fruitgate on the wild Cambrian border between England and Scotland. more than a splendid inheritance, Fruitgate will chart the fate of the orphaned beauty widowed at a precious young age. It will take her from the treacherous custody of a devious uncle, sweeping her into the magnificent court of Elizabeth of York, into the confidence of Katherine of Aragon, and past the intimate chamber doors of a young, handsome Henry VIII. Its an adventure that will test the limits of passion and betrayal, and turn even the most daring fantasy into true love...
This was a pretty good book!!!! The main character, Rosamund, had many ups & downs in her story. There is also a second book "Until You" which continues Rosamunds story (took me forever to find it here in Paperback Swap).
Good Book.
Good Book.
I've enjoyed Bratrice Small's books in the past and while this one was enjoyable, it was very predictable.
this book was totally different than any other romance novel I have ever read. She has many men in her life and lots of twists and turns.Cliffhanger ending.Get second book before you finish this one.
