I have enjoyed several of Kelly Bowen's previous books, but I think this is the best one yet. The main characters are excellent, and the obstacle to their being together is believable. Both the hero and heroine are doctors, and worked as battlefield surgeons during the Napoleonic Wars, which gives them a strong bond in common. So much female competence and empowerment in this book! Highly recommended especially if you like beta heroes.
