This is the first book I've ever read by this author. Chapter One was weird and I thought I was going to be disappointed. It was as if the author listed all the characters and how they are related before the story ever started. Usually you learn the background of the characters as you go, but this was all outlined in chapter one. It seemed very poorly put together. But as long as you can get past that, the storyline is very good. I have book 2 on hand and I'm going right into it. I think the character Tex is very funny. I hope he continues to be in the other books.
