This is a continuation of the Appretice Adept series. These books more or less had the same formula as the Xanth books, just a little darker. The first trilogy was pretty good, but it lost a little something in this continuation. Anyway, the royal children from the parallel worlds of Phaze and Proton have travelled to their other respective worlds and fallen in love. The only problem is...most of the movers in both worlds want them to go back. Some for political gain, and some because their presence is disrupting the existence of both worlds. It's not a bad book, just kind of lackluster.
Proton and Phaze are parallel worlds of science and magic. They were separated by the work of Stile and his alter-ego the Blue Adept, but a connection has been made again by their sons Mach and Bane. The two young men hold the power to link the two systems or destroy them. Both are prepared to save their worlds, but neither had anticipated the dangers of forbidden love... with members of the opposite realm!
Book five of Apprentice Adept series.
Very good book, nice plot and character development. If you like Piers Anthony, get this book.
Book 5 of the Apprentice Adept series
The robotic Mach and the human Bane are the only contact between the technological world of Photon and the fantastical world of Phaze. So the Adverse Adepts devise a scheme to control the duo by kidnapping their lovers.
Not one of the best but I loved it anyway.
