I like the characters of Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch and the eariler books were much better--this one just seemed to drag on and on and the dialogue at times just seemed ridculous and redundant and tiresome.

Fans of Robert B Parker's western series featuring Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch should be just as impressed with new author Robert Knott's take on it. This is the first book in the continuation of the series since the passing of Parker and, all in all, I feel he came real close to the feel and theme of the first books in which Knott is trying to maintain. Can't wait to read his second book Bull River.
