I can barely give this a 3 rating
It was like trudging through sludge, I did finish it but it was hard to stick with it, it just has too many chapters that don't offer anything but yada yada yada about nothing
The only reason I finished it was one review on Amazon gave a spoiler that I wanted to know about and it was in the last 2 pages, if you want to jump ahead
Just very slow and very draggy

Having never read any of the Robert B Parker's novels, I have nothing to compare. On its own, this police procedural was as exciting as some others I've read. However, I thought it was plodding (the dialogue) and predictable. OK, but not great.
