This travel memoir is very moving....and it includes a second and a third pilgrimage along the same trail in Spain, the last time with the author's 12-year-old daughter, for a more modern perspective. I found this book so engaging that I read it entirely in one evening. Very insightful and inspirational for anyone who attempts to take such pilgrimages, or even wants to - like me.

The author relates three different experiences walking parts of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, the most recent one with her 12-year-old daughter. Pilgrims have traveled this road for centuries on their way to the supposed burial site of the Apostle James.
