Very insightful
Bill Gates-who built Microsoft into one of the most successful companies in the world gives his vision of what the future holds for us. We gets a birds eye view of the undiscovered territory on the information super highway-an authoritative, thought provoking and very readable travel guide for the journey.

Obtaining this book through the kindness of Ms. Chitwood in Estill Springs, Tennessee, for the bookshelf at the old soldiers' home, I read part of it on the bus today.
In March 2017 I find it very easy and fast reading. It was published to introduce folks to the Information Age, but I read Chapter 12 "The Information Superhighway" and found Mr. Gates quite prescient.
However, he maintained that more jobs would become available as computing/Internet ended other jobs, and that will not be so. Especially interesting is his warning about the seductiveness of virtual reality!
