I found this book extremely interesting. I do love random nonfiction and I also have a strange obsession with bodies of water and weird things that come out of them, so that probably led to my interest. There is a lot of discussion of the technical aspects of fishing and how exactly he was able to reel in each particular fish, but the writing really draws you in. Each chapter is about a different expedition, some with tidbits about his childhood or his history, and some facts about the history of the area into which he's traveling. As many people I'm sure don't realize, Jeremy Wade IS a writer, so while this type of book could have been a huge bore, I thought it was great. I learned a lot and really found myself drawn to him as I never was before (when watching the show). There are even parts where I found myself laughing out loud. Certainly not a quick read but I loved learning more about him and about some amazing creatures.
