When Emily Marshall overhears her boyfriend planning a drug smuggling operation, she goes straight to the police. The police get her to agree to continue seeing her boyfriend, and take along a cop posing as her brother. The big problem is that the cop they assigned to this investigation is the same guy who broke her heart years before.

Vintage Suzanne Brockmann. A great read.
