The author was the former head of British Intelligence -- Judy Dench used her as her inspiration for the character "M" in recent James Bond movies. I read this book after hearing an interview of Ms. Rimington on Public Radio. The book is a great thriller and you know that it is written by someone who really knows the subject at hand. I'm looking forward to reading more of her books.
