The rocket girls are an elite group of scientists and mathematicians at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) from the 1940s to today. In Rise of the Rocket Girls, Nathalia Holt brings a remarkable compilation of their untold stories. The book provides a broad understanding of many aspects of this history the space program, technology, cultural paradigms, and particularly the role of women. The book is an intriguing introduction to a fascinating history of the "computers" of the JPL.
