This was one of the best SCIENCE fiction books that I have read. Allen puts massive thought into his books. Do not let the cover art fool you, it has a buxom blond posing in front of a viewport. I thought it was going to be a juvinile sex story set in the future, so I put it on the bottom of a stack of books to be read, then when I finally got around to reading it I was blown away. Allen writes Hard Science fiction in the same manner that Larry Niven does by sticking to Science. 5 stars Thumbs up.
Terrific book.
This was a great book! I've skipped over it all these years because of it's cover art. It has nothing to do with the story line. The science involved is still relevant today. It's fast paced with charaters you can relate to. A really good read.
