This was one of the best SCIENCE fiction books that I have read. Allen puts massive thought into his books. Do not let the cover art fool you, it has a buxom blond posing in front of a viewport. I thought it was going to be a juvinile sex story set in the future, so I put it on the bottom of a stack of books to be read, then when I finally got around to reading it I was blown away. Allen writes Hard Science fiction in the same manner that Larry Niven does by sticking to Science. 5 stars Thumbs up.
