I really enjoyed this book about rescuing Disabled children from a war torn island and finding adoptive Homes for them. As a reomance it was good. I really like books that leave me with wrm fuzzy feelings, and this definitaly fit the bill.

Modern day story about an elite military team working on a prototype amphibious armored vehicle. They form close friendships around the secret project and are sent on a rescue mission 2 hours after their first and only test run. The rescue leads to all kinds of new ties.

From the back cover:

IRRITATING. UNCOMPROMISING. AND DAMNED ATTRACTIVE.

Six feet, two inches of pure marine male. Major Russ "Mac" McIver had the right stuff in spades. His by-the-book, black-or-white view of the world allowed no compromises. Which tended to ruffle Caroline Dunn's usually unrufflable temper. So when a dangerous mission threw them together, Cari vowed to lay down the law with the stubborn marine-just as soon as she got her leaping heart under control.

They locked horns whenever they met. But Mac's one soft spot was Cari. Their battle of the sexes provided the perfect cover for his weakness, but could he keep his secret ehrn they might not have tomorrow?
