I always wondered why the stores and restaurants that I went to looked so much better than anything in my home. I finally come to the conclusion that it was the lighting - most people don't think about how to use lighting to decorate their living spaces.

This book gives inspirational examples for various rooms in a home and how to plan the lighting in your rooms to give the desired effects by walking you through basic questions - what will be the activities in the room? What features of the room to you wish to highlight/hide? What is the mood of the room? Soothing? Cheery? How do you make your room flexible enough to handle multiple tasks?

While the book probably won't answer your specific question, you can pick up on a few tricks of the trade for your home that you see in those fabulous stores and restaurants.
