Sweet little old-fashioned style romance, but with plenty of action and derring-do in the plot. I really liked the hero, and his horse, who plays a critical role, and his posse of ex-military men friends. Contrary to what another review says, he has NOT lost his arm, but has lost the use of it due to a war injury. This could have presented a problem in his romancing of the heroine, except she um, takes the bull by the horns, to use a metaphor. I really liked that part. Will he regain movement in his arm? Read the book and find out!
I stumbled upon this book not realizing it was part of a series, now I have to go back and read the first one, "The Night The Stars Fell".
