The future is wet and squishy. Anthology of tales involving genetically engineered beings and humans. Thought-provoking and fun.

I made it a few stories in and just couldn't get into it. There's an abundance of invented slang words attempting to describe the depraved future society that made it hard to follow. After reading Asimov, Verne, Wells, Bradbury, even Scalzi and Card, I'm having a hard time finding good, more current sci-fi short stories.
