Dear Friends,

I figured out a neat way to recycle those silver-colored plastic mailing bags that carry oversized packages.  I'd put in an order from a catalog for two blankets and two throws, and got this huge mailing bag with the items inside.  Before, I would just have put them on recycling--but with an order for two new books for me to mail, I got an idea.

Normally, I would have used paper bag cutouts to cover my books(after protecting them with plastic wrap, which I make sure is watertight).  This time, I used scissors, cut out the amount of plastic I needed to cover each book, wrapped it tightly, using packing tape, and did the same with my hand-printed address label.

It worked like a charm.  I have still enough of the bag left over for several more books.  This recycles the plastic, protects the books with another waterproof layer, and the receiver of the books can just dispose of the wrapper in recycling!

Now, if I can only find a place to store my newfound wrapping material...;-D!!

Peace, hugs and love,

Tina
