I truly enjoy how an alpha hero's protective instincts kick into high gear when a heroine is in a dangerous situation. Shannon had a nice balance of vulnerability and independence while Patrick was a swoon-worthy, take-charge and not-too-arrogant type of guy. Good story with a menacing abusive ex-husband thrown in. 4 stars.
