Having recently read several books with heavy subject matters, I picked up this book by Nicholas Sparks. In typical Sparks fashion, this is a feel good read. Trevor Benson is a retired disabled Navy orthopaedic doctor having been wounded in Afghanistan. When his beloved grandfather dies, he travels to his grandfather's home to settle things up. However, the dying message from his grandfather, and two women he meets will change his life forever. Very good read!
Typical Nicholas Sparks love story. Boy and girl fall for each other, but one of them has a reason that this love can never be. But eventually....
This one takes place in New Bern, NC, where wounded veteran Trevor meets police officer Natalie. There's a side story about a mysterious girl in town, who ends up being the main focus of the story. Enjoyable read.
