A GAME OF CHANCE
About to be thrown into the street by her landlady, the poor but ever-virtuous Elinor Hardy was forced to earn her rent as a dealer in a London gaming house. Her future was uncertain indeed until she encountered Lady Augusta, Duchess of Towans, who made an unusual offer. She would take the beautiful Elinor to the exclusive resort, Cheyne Spa, and bestow upon her an impressive wardrobe and title. In return, Elinor was to capture the heart of one particularly unsuitable suitor of the duchess' pampered niece, Lady Barbara.
A WAYWARD HEART
But to Elinor's dismay, the wrong young man took the bait - and another took her fancy. The devilishly handsome Tyger Dobyn was a known ladies man and gambling rogue. Even if she didn't have her end of the bargain to uphold - and enough of Barbara's suitors to juggle - Elinor's pracitical head knew Tyger was not the marrying kind. Unfortunately her heart didn't agree!
