I could not get the characters and setting out of my head, even when I started another book! I just ordered everything this author has written.

First time I've read anything by this author. Pulls you into the story - does flip from present to future at times, but not in a way that totally confuses the reader. Enjoyed the setting of the story - Adirondack Mountains. Set right before WWII. Haunting storyline.

I read this book because it was on my book calender. It was about a wealthy family before WW II that had a share in a Reserve in the Adirondacks and an artist that lived nearby and the exchange between the two. I did learned I knew very little about what was happening in Spain before the war.
This a good book and kept my interest.
