I rather fell in love with this book. My sister actually asked me if it was difficult to read after watching me carry it around with me for two weeks, my nose planted in the pages. I have to assume I've reread at least six times since then. I thought the story was well spaced out, not too fast or choppy and my only problem was seeing the last page. I wish it was longer. Like... Twilight-length would be good!
I also bought With Caution and it was pretty good. That one seemed to move a bit faster, maybe too fast since Remi was supposedly straight but you know, 'those damnned pheromones.' For some reason With Caution didn't grab me as much as Without Reservation but I would definitely recommend them both.

Though the character development could have been better, in this book I'm kinda glad that the author didn't waste my time in giving me a lot of back-story on either character. You learn about their pasts through their courting. I like that the dominant wolf is actually the bottom in this book and though he oozes power (the other wolves feel it instantly but his lover doesn't) he not only controls it well, but manifests it only when necessary.
The porn was deliciously scattered throughout the book which made this a quick read without leaving out the key element that love shared between two people completely in love with each other is the most erotic of lovemaking scenes. One of my favorite scenes is the first time we see the pair give into their urges and includes the taller one pinning the smaller one against the door and devouring him from lips to cock. By the time he swallows his lover's prick, both the lover and the reader are panting and squirming madly. Yum!
Langley, a female author, writes the scenes with realistic UST while adding paranormal references that keep you engaged and wanting more. While it has many romantic moments, there are very little cheesy moments and many of them are accompanied by such great dialogue that you enjoy the sneak peek into a living room scene or post-coital schmoopiness.

A touching love story between two m/m shifters. This book is a keeper for me. It's sweet and hot. The two main characters didn't spend a lot of time on some big misunderstanding nor did they fight the obvious fact they were each other's lifemates. The story is pretty fast paced though it's not very deep. The paranormal aspect of the werewolves doesn't take center stage in this story as it does in some other books in the paranormal genre. It's more of a hot contemporary m/m romance than a true paranormal story about shape shifters. It is quite graphic as far as the bedroom scenes go. Those scenes are very steamy and there's a lot of love between the two main characters. It's so nice to read a m/m romance where the characters actually make love rather than have raw sex without any care for the other person.
I would read another book from this author.

I would recommend reading this one before you read "With Caution" since there are some references made in that book to things that happen in this one. Even though I didn't read them in that order I really enjoyed this book. It was interesting to find out how someone could consider themselves 'not gay' but be in a gay relationship. I like the characters and the way they developer. The story was really good and this is a book I recommend if you like the m/m relationship stories.

I was really looking forward to this book with its story of gay werewolves. I also knew that it would be of the graphic romance genre. Unfortunately, what I got was more graphic than story. While it was an okay book I was disappointed at how shallow the development of the characters were and even more so that the book became about sex more than anything else. The book's ending was almost written as an after thought it seems like and was hurried.
Now don't get me wrong it was a fun book to read and a change from the more serious natured military, historical or political books that I read; I just want to caution the next reader not to have high literary expectations.
