"CLARK TAKES THE READER ON A MYSTERIOUS AND SUSPENSEFUL RIDE, TWISTING PLOT AFTER PLOT...A FASCINATING CLIMAX..." -- Tam Gordon, Nashville Banner

REMEMBER ME
On tranquil Cape Cod, a young couple tries to escape from the horrors of their past--only to become trapped in a nightmare beyond their understanding, beyond their control.

Menley Nichols never stopped blaming herself for the accidental death of her two-year-old-son. Her marriage to Adam, a high-profile criminal attorney, has started to fall apart--but the birth of their daughter Hannah promises to revitalize their relationship. Adam decides to rent a house on Cape Cod, a serene haven that's ideal for Menley and Hannah.

At Remember House, an eighteenth-century landmark with a sinister past, strange incidents force Menley to relive the accident in which she lost her son, and she begins to fear for Hannah's safety. Then Adam takes on a client suspected for murder after his wife drowns in a violent squall--and the family is drawn into a rising tide of terror. On a dark, rainswept beach, Adam and Menley will confront their worst fears--leading to a harrowing, suspenseful climax that only Mary Higgins Clark, America's Queen of Suspense, could have created.

If you enjoy mystery books as much as I do, then you will definitely enjoy this one. Plus, this book isn't just about a good mystery.. it's about a failing marriage, love, getting over a loved one, learning to move on, and so much more. It's a beautiful work and all of the characters were also so well-written.

My all time FAVORITE Mary Higgins Clark story. The lead character, Menley grabs you on the first page and doesn't let go. From her pain, joy, and fear, you go on a roller coaster ride that reaches a satisfying conclusion at a place you might not expect.

I would recomend this book to anyone - whether they are already a mystery buff, or if they're just starting to peruse the genre.

This book had a very believable plot with a wide cast of characters who are well defined. I had a hard time putting this book down, even though I had figured out the "bad guy" was early on in the book. The conclusion was very well done and quite satisfying. A very good read.

On my personal scale I gave this book a B+. I would have given it an A but for some reason the main character's name irritated me LOL. Menley and her husband are living on Cape Cod where Menley is suffering from Post Pardom Depression after having their baby Hannah coupled with the constant reminder that she was driving when a train struck the car killing her first child Bobby. So when Menley starts hearing things in their big house on the Cape it is so very hard to determine if she is really hearing things or if she is venturing off this side of sanity. This is a fairly good mystery and once again proves why MHC is the Queen of Suspense. It keeps you wondering about Menley through the whole thing. On a side note I did feel that there were a few too many characters that I had a little trouble keeping straight but overall this did not effect my enjoyment of the book.
