Well, listened to 1.5 CDs, until it started skipping. I don't know if I like a CD, as opposed to a book, you can't skip over the silly parts, and I haven't learned to tune out while in the car. Anyway, it was slightly interesting, but I have no need to find out what happens next, I know Allon will be around as long as Silva finds it profitable.
Excellent narration, and another good, tense, and satisfying Gabriel Allon story. I've read reviews that criticize this series for including too many plot detours that aren't strictly about the core story. One reviewer mentioned picnics and the details of how a painting is restored. Most of the Allon audiobooks I've been able to find are abridged, as is this one, and there were no such distracting details. Normally I prefer unabridged audiobooks, but this series may be a notable exception.
Thoroughly enjoyable!
