Rejar travels into another galaxy & time to Regency England to find his one true mate. Interesting premise, but over-simplified.

Oh baby I love Rejar. This is when Dara Joy was the best author of paranormal romance. Then her lawsuit with the publisher.
Now self publishing, I wasn't impressed with her book.

On the way to a tea party, Lilac Devere and her Auntie Agatha are shocked when a flash of light, a booming crash, and a large black cat with two different colored eyes, one fiery gold, one ice blue, suddenly appear in their coach. Lilac is immediately taken with the pretty kitty, and vows to take it home with her if it's still here when they get back from the party.

Little does Lilac know, the black cat is not just a cat, but a man who can transform into a cat. A Familiar to be exact, who is from a future time and a different dimension. Rejar knows he's been sent here for a reason, so he decides to stay in Ree Gen Cee Ing Land and find out why he's here.

Lilac brings her kitty into her home to keep. Suddenly, Lilac starts having wonderful dreams about a sexual, NAKED man. Rejar knows he can't stay in this world as a cat, so he decides to tell people he's from a faraway land so no one can check his story. He tells people his name is Nickolai Azov and that he's a prince from Russia. When Lilac meets the Prince for the first time, she's shocked to find that it's the same sensual stranger from her dreams. What she also didn't expect was to see the Prince who had two different colored eyes, an eye of fiery gold, and an eye of ice blue!

Rejar decides then and there that he will marry the beautiful Lilac. But before he can do that, he wants Lilac to be used to him, hence the nighttime visits. There are some advantages of being able to do this, and when he discovers a kitten-shaped birthmark on Lilac's inner thigh, he uses it to his advantage. When he tells Auntie Agatha about the birthmark, she thinks he has compromised her niece, and proclaims that they will be married days later. Lilac's reaction was outrage, to say the least. She was very opposed to the marriage, which she knows the obnoxious Prince Azov has tricked her into. When the minister asks her 'Do you take this man...' she refuses to answer. Rejar finds this vastly amusing, and, having telepahic ability, sends her a message asking her if she wants him to stop the cerimony. When she shouts "Yes I do!" the minister pronounces them husband and wife, since no one else heard the thought. Lilac once again realizes she's been tricked. This results in a marriage of hilarious escapades.

Another good thing about this book is that we revisit with characters form the previous novel "Knight of a Trillion Stars", starring Lorgin, Rejar's brother, his wife Adeeann, and a new addition to the family! We also meet again with Traed, who shows up to 'pester' our hero the day after his wedding, and Yaniff, an ancient wizard who wants Rejar to join the Alliance, a group of extraordinary wizards on Rejar's home planet.

Oh honey, this sex god turns into a cat. The humor and sexual tension were wonderful. Dara Joy used to write wonderful books, this series: Knights of a Trillion Stars and Mine to Take are just the best futuristic romances written. But then she filed a lawsuit against her publisher, so these great books are hard to find.

Don't judge a book by its cover. This books has one of those 80s cheesy romance novel covers, but the story held my interest. This is the story of Rejar, the brother of the hero in the first Timeswept book. Rejar is from another dimension/planet. He's also a Familiar. Familiars on his homeworld can change into animal form. They're also very sexual. Thanks to a time space distortion, Rejar is sent to Regency England where he meets Lilac. He wants to marry her, and the way he goes about it is quite funny. Rejar is a very likable, sweet, incredibly sexy character. Lilac was understandably reticent about this mysterious stranger, but she wasn't a TSTL heroine. This book is a fast read and the misunderstanding that happened was realistic. It's the type of misunderstanding that could happen in real life.

Too much sex for my taste, and I kept waiting for the herom to get his comeuppance for his arrogance -- but Joy makes it work out in terms of cultural differences. I wouldn't re-read it, but I got caught up in the characters and the premise, and I will read other titles in the series.

Ladies will definitely enjoy reading about the total sensual creature that is Rejar, a sinfully handsome man from another universe.

I liked this book. I liked the charachters and the story line. My only problem with this book is that it is too short. I want to know more about the world Rejar is from. Otherwise this was a very entertaining book and I would suggest it to anyone who likes shapeshifter romance stories. :}

Interesting - this author has excellent concepts and story ideas but always disappoints me in the execution. Her ideas are great but her writing ability is a bit stilted and unoriginal, the dialogue tries for witty but often is only rather silly. Still worth a read, but not a keeper.

I absolutely loved this book! I loved the 1st one too, but I'm disappointed to learn that #3 is not Traed's story. Confuse me? In any case, Dara Joy's characters are easy to love. You don't have to read the 1st one to enjoy this one, however, you get much more of Rejar's background through Lorgin's story. I'm off to see about #3 and who this mystery Familiar is!

Women love their cats! In Dara Joy's much awaited new book, Lilac Devere has the best of both worlds. She meets Rejar, an immortal "shape-changer" who can take two forms--man or cat. Incredibly sexual and sensitive to women, these shape-changers travel through time, appearing primarily to make love to women. When Rejar finds himself in Regency England in cat form, he makes the most of both forms in Lilac's bedroom and in the salons as one of Lord Byron's friends. Lucky Lilac never has to choose between man and beast! --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

MY SISTER SENDS ME BOOKS NOW AND THEN, AND AS USUAL, THERE ARE A COPY OF WHAT I ALREADY HAVE AND LOVE. THIS BOOK WILL STAND ALONE, BUT IF YOU COULD GET THE OTHER TWO, IT IS A GREAT SET TO KEEP. VJ
