I did not find this the best in the series. It did not add much to the character development or the understanding of why the characters acted the way they did. I found most of the characters-- both the good guys and bad guys annoying in this book. This was a cookie cutter book that made both Christians and non-christinas look like idiots. I did like The Rising which was the other prequel. This one however was not worth my time.

Actually a lot better than The Rising. This one introduces more characters from the series and gets close to the Rapture.

This is the second official book of this series. In this book, Nicolae starts to develop his evil side. The people who oppose him start to "disappear" and he his cheating his way up to the top to achieve his goals. Rayford's life is getting worse as well as he and his wife are having an argument about her growing interest in Christianity. He is also trying to develop a new relationship with a flight attendant he works with. Many faithless in Christianity are talked about in this book and their proplems/reasons for being faithless in Christianity. A massive war is talked about in Israel before the book ends.

The first prequel of the Left Behind series was very interesting. This one wasn't so much. There wasn't much excitement in it. It was interesting to see how some of the characters got where they are in the Left Behind book, but some of it was a little boring. I'm not really looking forward to reading the 3rd prequel because I'm guessing it will be more of the same as this one.
