anyone involved in the arts should read this. gablik outlines the legacies of modernism, deconstructivism, and even postmodernism and the effects they've had on society and culture. she explains how art has reinforced the commodity culture that has separated us from nature, compassion, and community. she offers many examples of artists who's work has a healing effect, connecting us to each other and our environments. she outlines what she believes the art world should concern itself with in the present/future
