Entertaining western tale with a hero who remained dedicated to the care of his lady love while she was in a three-year coma and even after she woke up with amnesia. So we see a lot of his angst and jealously while he tries to help her remember him, their daughter, and their love for each other. There's a lot going on here and sometimes it's a little disjointed seaming these course of events together, but I felt Micah was a well-developed character and I thought much of this story was from his point of view making it a nice change from the typical format. I didn't connect so well with Eppie, though. She was too removed from the equation, but I guess that's because of her amnesia. Frankly, I was still drawn more to refamiliarizing myself with Madeline and Teague from The Education of Madeline. Nevertheless, it's still an interesting sequel if you want to keep up with the characters of Plum Creek. Micah's long lost sister, Sarah, gets her story in The Stranger's Secrets. 3.5 stars.
Loved this book - once again the author weaves together a powerful story that connects emotionally with reader. I cried, laughed and lived the story with the characters. More of a historical romance than hot erotica.
This is the second book Ive read by Beth Williamson and I really liked it. I will look for more in the future. If you havent already, I would read the Education of Sarah before this book.
