i really enjoyed this book! it made me want to visit central park so i can prowl around and meet some of the nature-lovers (and maybe see some hawks!). i'd recommend it if you like barbara kingsolver - marie winn has that same gift of teaching you about the natural world without you realizing it. a fun read.

I absolutely loved this book. I highly encourage anyone who loves nature or wildlife to read this book. It will be well worth your time. I guarentee that you will fall in love with the characters.
Loved this book. Such a great read that we bought a new one as a gift for a nephew who lives in Manhattan.

This book is as much about the bird watchers in Central Park as it is about the birds. There's romance, drama, and tragedy here as well as a nice introduction to the park and the birds who live there.
