Sometimes I'm not too fond of Mary Balogh but I like this story. A guardian resents his enforced guardianship of two young ladies on the verge of their society debut, but then finds himself slowly becoming attracted to one of his wards. The hero's character undergoes a real change-of-heart; very well done. Balogh's very good at creating simmering tension (there's no sex, which kind of surprised me; a little different from the usual Balogh).
