This was an awesome book, I didn't realize there would be magic in it but it didn't overwelm the historic portion of the book.

A lovely combination of history and fantasy, this is a quick read that reimagines the (apparently non-existent) life of Catherine Parr's daughter Mary Seymour. Mary is cast as a white magician and sent into Elizabeth I's court to protect and assist the queen. It strays frequently from history and is more fiction than history but still remains an enjoyable fanciful read.

Nice little Elizabethan tale that mixes historical facts with an interesting twist on magic, and wrapped up with a bit of romance. Great read for a fan of the era.
