"When Laura Spellman learns that she has inoperable cancer, her one wish is to be allowed to die in her own way, with as little medical intervention as possible..."

The book was very readable, but I felt that in some ways the author's imagination--or lack thereof--had led her to describe things that were unlikely to happen in real life.
